Bio
I am a Boston based Singer/Songwriter who hails originally from St. Croix, Virgin Islands. Minister, Music Director, Singer, Preacher & Engineer, however, at the root, I’m a guy who simply loves music & loves God. I’ve written songs for decades, but I'm truly saddened that it has taken me this long to write something for the Kingdom. Over the last few decades, I've been more concerned with building the kingdom on the backend, mentoring one person at a time. Seriously making efforts to build up the young people (particularly young musicians) and provide them with benefits that I did not have access to growing up. In the process, I met bro. D.J. McLean and Sam Joseph, what would later become Bean House Productions. These two young men encouraged me to start this project.
MUSIC 2 THE EARTH THEORY
I've been here before. I've toured with different choirs and bands, I've been that young singer chasing a major label contract. I have no interest in that. The beauty in being an independent artist is that you can be honest with your music. I'm not concerned with music genres in my projects. If I go to the piano and I’m inspired to write a pop song, that’s what’s going to carry the message for the day. If a reggae song comes, then so be it. I believe the issue is writing material that’s GENUINE, and that has a real message.
So as it relates to gospel. Gospel has nothing to do with genre, gospel is about “The Word” the music is just what makes that word relatable to different groups of people. If we want to reach EVERYONE with our music, then we must try to be all things to all men. As long as they can get the message through your music, and the music itself doesn't overshadow or bury the message, then yes. It's gospel.
THE MAJESTIC EP STORY
My pastor asked a while back, what would you do if you were in a season where God would sanction whatever you chose to do for the kingdom ? That really got me thinking… but sadly it didn’t get me writing. It took a global pandemic to do that. This pandemic made me realize that life was fleeting. People were dying and they were simply gone from this earth forever. I realized that time was a privilege, and I needed to get at least ONE good piece of work out to the world. On old years night of 2021, while still doubting that I could still write a song, I started writing the music for “How Majestic”...
This EP, and all the songs in it represent my greatest faith step yet. It was an answer to the question, "What would I create if there was no other concern, besides giving God my best work." This project will reach the Earth, and it will reach particularly those people it's meant to reach.
